CF-WGE de Havilland Canada Inc., Downsview, ON. Rolled out 27-Jun-1967. First flight 25-Jul-1967.

Note: Used as a float demonstrator by DHC, 1967 – 1989.

Accident: Toronto Island , ON 15-Aug-1968. Collided with dock. Repaired and returned to service.

CF-WGE Athabaska Airways, Prince Albert, SK. Delivered 03-May-1969. Regd 31-Dec-1968.

Accident: Prince Patrick Island. NT. 76.33N. 116-48W. 14-May-1972. As landing rollout neared completion, the nosewheel dropped into a snow covered washout on the abandoned runway. The nosewheel fork retaining nut broke and the aircraft pitched forward onto its nose.

C FWGE Re-regd to Athabaska Airways. Prince Albert, SK. Feb-1979. Canx and removed from register 23-Feb-1990.

Accident; Pasfield Lake, SK, 12-Oct-1979, Damaged on landing, repaired and returned to service.

Accident: Maudsley Lake, Saskatchewan 13-Jun-1987 The float equipped aircraft crashed after the pilot aborted a landing due to rough water. The aircraft hit trees on go-around. Two crew and nine passengers on board – all survived – Aircraft written off.
