Accident: Baffin Island at 69.58N 76.59W. 06-Mar-1993. An ELT signal was received from location 6956n 7656w from SARSAT. CFR was informed by Iqualuit FSS that FQBT was on a VFR flight from Iqualuit to make a fuel cache and was in the area concerned. The aircraft was to unloaded oil barrels in a fiord. The pilot landed then decided that the initial location was unsuitable and decided to move elsewhere. On take-off, however the aircraft hit a snowdrift and dug the nose of the aircraft into it.
