VP-FAP de Havilland Canada Inc., Downsview, ON. Rolled out date Oct 1971. First flight date in Oct-1971.

VP-FAP British Antarctic Survey, Cambridge, UK. Delivered 10-Nov-1971.

Note: Fitted with extra fuel tanks in 1974 to increase endurance to 8 hours. Operated from the ski-way at Rothera Station. From 1975 / 1976 season.

(C-GNYX) Bradley Air Services, Carp, ON. Regd 22-Apr-1975 but ntu.

VP-FAP Remained with British Antarctic Survey.

Accident: Gomez Nunatak, on Adelaide Island, Antrctica. 29-Jan-1977. The aircraft was flown into a snow slope when the pilot mistook it for a flat landing site in whitw-out conditions. The two crew and three passengers on board were uninjured and the engines and avionics (and possibly airframe components) were later salvaged but the aircraft was struck off charge and not recovered.
