Accident: Able Creek (Banks Island), AB. 03-Feb-1975. The aircraft struck a hill about 1.5 miles short of the strip during a landing attempt. Of the two crew and three passengers one passenger received minor injuries. The aircraft suffered substantial damage.

Accident: Namisivik NWT, 21-Dec-1977. The aircraft lost control while on final approach and crashed 2200 feet short of the runway in a 45deg. nose-down and 80deg. right bank attitude. 2 crew and 6 passengers killed – Aircraft written off.

PROBABLE CAUSE: Uncertain. Low-level turbulence and windshear of 10-20 kt s/ 1,000 feet existed. In-flight failure of flap and aileron control rods was considered since they were involved in similar accidents, one year later.
