23-Jun-1978. Service Difficulty Report. Forward fuel tank low level light activated. A large amount of dirt & bird feathers in forward motive line check was found.

Service Difficulty Report. 20-Sep-1978 Unscheduled landing. Returned due to a fuel odour coming in through passenger  door. Fuel tank filler caps were not sealing properly. The caps were replaced.

Service Difficulty Report. 30-Apr-1979. Returned to block following unscheduled landing. Returned due to PN101 (a. flight attitude instrument) drifting 60 degrees left & failure to slave after take off. Replaced PN101.

Service Difficulty Report. 20-Jun-1979. Flight diverted due to activation of door warning light. All doors found secured. Maintenance adjusted forward baggage door micro switch.

Service Difficulty Report. 21-Sep-1979. Aborted take off due to a fire warning on left hand engine with a fire bottle discharging. All 4 fire detectors were replaced.

Service Difficulty Report. 11-Feb-1980. Unscheduled landing due to captain’s horizon indicator becoming inoperative. Replaced horizon indicator.

Incident 24-Jan-1979. Pilot requested priority landing due to no fuel transfer. Fuel quantity indicator was stuck.

Incident 06-Feb-1979 Aborted take off due to low torque. Replaced prop governor.

Incident 03-Sep-1979. Flight returned after fire warning. Detectors replaced

Service Difficulty Report 11-Feb-1980. Unscheduled landing due to captain’s horizon indicator became inoperative which was replaced.

Withdrawn from use & stored at Marana, AZ (on bankruptcy of Air New England) 31-Oct-1981.

Withdrawn from use & stored at Las Vegas, NV; noted there 15-Oct-1982, 13-Dec-1982, 09-Jan-1983, 02-Feb-1983.

Service Difficulty Report. 26-Jun-1985. On take off left prop rpm over 96 percent. Replaced governor.

Service Difficulty Report. 25-Jul-1985. A landing gear shimmies on take off and landing. Found play in lower torque link. Replaced link.

• N239Z Returned to Air Associates, Plymouth, MA, Dec-1985.

Service Difficulty Report. 14-Dec-1985. After take off from JFK left engine oil pressure indicator dropped to 18 psi but oil pressure warning light did not come on. Captain elected to shut down engine and return to JFK. When engine was shutdown low oil pressure light came on, which is normal. Aircraft landed without further incident. Inspection determined indicator was intermittent and oil pressure was normal, and could not duplicate problem. Ferried aircraft to Groton-New London for troubleshooting. Replaced indicator.

Service Difficulty Report 09-Jun-1992. A Narco ELT10 was sent to the manufacturer for battery replacement and compliance with Narco sb elt-10 (g-switch inoperative) and switch set to 'arm' position. ELT was later found to have been activated by ground handling on aircraft. ELT returned to manufacturer for inspection and repair.

Note: Seen Prestwick 16-Jun-1996 with magnetometer attached.

Airworthiness Date: 08-Dec-1998.
