Accident: JFK Airport, New York. 15-Jul-1969. On take-off. Because the flight was 12 minutes behind schedule, the pilot commenced takeoff from a runway intersection. The Twin Otter encountered wake turbulence from a recently departed jet, lost control and crashed. Two crew killed, one crew and 5 passengers injured. Aircraft written off.
